As part of our Agile Center of Excellence, you are a true leader and will steer and shape our Agile transformation to significantly improve our way of work. We are facilitating a program culture of success that builds on people empowerment & transparency to channel the work of hundreds of developers and business experts towards a common goal: The leading IT system in the shipping industry.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the agile vision within a large-scale IT product development organization
  • Develop the agile implementation plan and manage the transformation backlog
  • Establish metrics for the agile transformation and operationalize their frequent measurement on program, product cluster and team level
  • Work with HLAG leadership and program management to drive the resolution of organizational issues impeding team, cluster and program agility
  • Drive cultural change by fostering agile values and an agile mindset across all layers
  • Coach HLAG executives and management to support decision making that aligns with an Agile culture
  • Provide/ source coaching and training for the whole program together with your team
  • Lead a team of coaches, scrum masters and agile tooling experts to deliver Agile capabilities across the program organization (e.g. Confluence, Jira and Agile Hive)
  • Help to start/ setup new Agile Release Trains and participate in critical, initial events – e.g. PI Plannings
  • Communicate the transformation progress to senior management
  • Collaborate with other parties in the development and adoption of enterprise-wide agile standards within HLAG
  • Recruit, hire and retain high performing team members for the agile center of excellence team

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven experiences in driving Agile adoption/transformation for big companies, ideally for large-scale IT Program teams with several hundred of people
  • Several years of experience in setting up and driving agile environments from a method point of view
  • Several years of experience in leading a team of highly motivated individuals
  • Strong hands-on experience in using agile methods/ frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and SAFe at scale
  • Ability to explain and drive adoption of Lean and Agile Principles across varied stakeholders
  • Ability to form productive relationships quickly at all organizational levels
  • Self-confident and comfortable interacting with Executive Level Leaders
  • Flexible and adaptable while maintaining a high degree of execution excellence
  • Analytical mindset with a highly structured way of working
  • Excellent communicational skills verbally and in writing
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Reliable and motivated team player and inspiring leader
  • Fluent in English, German is a benefit

German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position. This will enable you to participate in social and community life in Germany and at our company premises in the best possible way. 

Nice if you have:

  • Certified SAFe SPC and / or RTE or similar is an advantage
  • Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
