We manage a total fleet of 1.8 million containers, which are with our customers around the globe. Our equipment IT application landscape supports effective steering, operation and constant monitoring of all containers. Ensuring that our containers are seaworthy is a crucial task, which is enabled by the processes and applications that the IT Equipment & Repair team manages together with the Business. We connect internal management and monitoring processes with more than 1.000 repair shops worldwide and thereby ensure that our fleet operates as effectively as possible.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • You develop the Equipment Maintenance & Repair product and closely collaborate with the respective Business Product Owner
  • You take over the set-up and technical lead for our international IT product team in alignment with the head of the Equipment team
  • Together with your Business colleagues, you find creative solutions for our complex Business processes
  • You structure and work out the technical details of related business requirements, and plan agile sprints accordingly
  • You support the development of a modern architectural setup and the entire migration of our IT application to the cloud
  • As a product manager, you are responsible for the efficient operation of our core product and for keeping it alive
  • Your daily grind is characterized by strong collaboration with your colleagues and developers around the world

Requirements and Qualifications:

What you'll need to succeed

  • You have proven experience from similar positions and substantial knowledge within the area of requirements engineering
  • Your working style is goal-oriented and you are great at motivating your team
  • You have distinctive knowledge of agile development processes for standalone software
  • You communicate well and thrive in a diverse, international environment – fluent written and spoken English language skills are a must

German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position. This will enable you to participate in social and community life in Germany and at our company premises in the best possible way.

Nice if you have:

  • Experience within transport and logistics industry
  • Experience within software development using Java EE or similar (e.g. Spring) in the context of larger projects
  • Experience using Eclipse, git, Maven, Jenkins, AWS, Docker, Terraform
