Tasks and Responsibilities:

At Hapag-Lloyd we know that digital product offerings and IT capabilities are one of the most critical success factors for delivering customer value in container shipping. As a leading part of our IT Program Management Team, you will steer the transformation and innovation portfolio of our Core IT System to be “Number 1 in Quality”. For that we are facilitating a program culture of success that builds on people empowerment & transparency to channel the work of hundreds of IT developers and business experts towards a common goal: The leading IT system in the shipping industry.

 

This is including following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Create a positive and performance-driven program culture that builds on overall transparency and empowerment of IT product teams
  • Guide the implementation of effective Program Governance Structures which provide control over the Program Status and its critical path
  • Develop and implement practices to execute IT Product development in an agile way at scale
  • Manage interdependencies of the different IT Products and reduce complexities
  • Close collaboration with business departments to assure a strategic fit of business strategy and IT product developments
  • Guide the prioritization of features by business criticality & value in case of limited resources or contradicting targets
  • Implement efficient escalation processes, clear responsibilities, follow-ups and decision taking to meet targeted milestones and remove any roadblocks
  • Implement Change Management practices to successfully deliver IT product innovations towards our organization and our customers
  • Preparation of management presentations to summarize the program progress and measures required to be taken
  • Moderation of regular program meetings, calls & workshops

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Profound knowledge and application of program management methods; experiences in scaled agile practices are an advantage
  • Proven Experiences in managing large size programs, ideally in the context of cloud migration or IT product development
  • Analytical mindset with a highly structured way of working
  • Excellent communicational skills verbally and in writing
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Reliable and motivated team player and leader
  • Ability to work independently and take over responsibility
  • Understanding of container shipping business is an advantage
  • Understanding of IT Architecture is an advantage
