The Finance Digital Transformation (S4) Program is a multiyear program, aiming at simplifying and harmonizing end-to-end Finance business processes and enable single data capture at source through the deployment of the most recent SAP release S/4HANA.

As Project Manager (Business) you are responsible for defining and determining project scope and business requirements, driving, and securing the high quality of the project delivery amongst the global, regional, and local teams and all IT partners.

Your tasks

  • Ensure the implementation of projects and services as per specifications (budget, time, quality standards, functional requirements, and corporate rules)
  • Responsible for all related project phases and to ensure all project KPIs are met and supporting the overall Program plan
  • Collaborate with and manage through the PMO, VMO and IT Project Managers to review related project milestone delivery, financials, and risks
  • Review performance of the selected System Integrators and Software Vendors to ensure the best Solution Design possible, adherence to Business Process Models, IT Architecture Principles, Program Methodologies, and tools usage
  • Manage dispersed project and service teams in a matrix structure (work organization, allocate resources, motivate, appreciate, mentor and train)
  • Build, maintain and manage relations with functional and supporting teams
  • Manage cooperation with external vendors of services and solutions, ensure appropriate resources are available of and engage them
  • Identify requirements concerning application and service development, consult and propose solutions and be accountable for their delivery
  • Support innovation of in scope processes and technologies and identify opportunities to reuse existing solutions
  • Propose and supervise the implementation of improvements with a view to improving cost and resource efficiency and optimizing existing services and project processes

Your profile

  • You have a University Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience in business or IT in similar roles, preferably with experience working in the Shipping industry in a global environment
  • You have >10 years of relevant experience driving SAP projects
  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience in work related to software development
  • Minimum 5 years of ERP experience in coordinating project teams and managing local and global projects in a multicultural, international environment
  • Leadership & Communication skills and ability to cooperate with persons at different organization levels
  • Skills to envisage possible problems, determine and implement solutions.
  • Readiness to travel depending on project/service needs (approx. 20% of work time)
  • Experience in working with virtual/dispersed project/service teams.
  • Basic knowledge of project/program management methods (e.g. PMM (PMI), SAFe)
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies (Agile: Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of SAP Solution Manager
  • Certificate confirming knowledge of project and program management methods
