Overall Job Purpose:
Create, implement, and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively promote the organization. Upscale customer experience through an enhanced customer communication strategy that adds value to our customers
Key Accountabilities:
- Oversee internal and external communication within Region Middle East to ensure messaging is consistent, effective, engaging and on-brand
- Propel Hapag-Lloyd’s image through consistent messaging and strategy
- Create and deliver a comprehensive strategic communication plan that promotes growth, manages, and enhances brand reputation and deepens employee engagement
- Communicate brand values to both internal and external customers and stakeholders
- Elevate internal communication to give employees a more holistic view of Hapag-Lloyd
- Development and implementation of a regional customer communication matrix in alignment with global customer communications
- Strategic advising of senior regional and area leaders for enhanced visibility on social media channels. Improve customer perspective of the prevalent circumstances
- Content generation for internal and external channels in collaboration with global customer communications
- Event Management of area, industry, and events
- Coordination of large-scale regional sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives
- Close coordination with the digital team to increase Customer subscriptions
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree, with a background in Marketing, Communications, or relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of Container Shipping preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Creativity in developing relevant marketing content
- Knowledge and understanding of communications practices, tools, and techniques in social media
- Drive for results – can be counted on to meet/exceed goals consistently, pushing self and others for results
- Ability to marshal resources to get things done, orchestrating multiple activities at once to accomplish goals
