About us:

We, the Global Transshipment Center, analyse, support and enhance Hapag-Lloyd's global Transshipment operations centrally from Hamburg. Together with stakeholders from the business and IT we drive performance and system enhancements.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • You are responsible for monitoring the global Transshipment performance against targets and KPIs, which you develop together with the team
  • You are required to support T/S BPO for FIS3 transformation in following up with the Regions on requirements and sharing business knowledge.
  • Using a variety of data sources and expert knowledge, you identify structural and current Transshipment challenges and develop ideas and concepts to successfully tackle same
  • As a part of the Global Transshipment Center, you will shape the future global Transshipment strategy and act as an advocate for global implementation
  • You will closely cooperate and communicate with our regional counterparts, acting as a sparring partner which facilitates best practice sharing
  • You prepare, organize and moderate weekly calls with global stakeholders
  • You prepare presentations for senior management

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • You are holding a university degree or similar qualification in logistics
  • You have excellent presentation and argumentation skills and the ability to transfer key messages in a convincing way
  • You have a strong drive and the capability to make independent decisions based on information available, knowledge and experience
  • You possess distinct analytical skills, perform exceptional on conceptual tasks, and combine this with a high degree of personal responsibility and a proactive, self-reflecting working style
  • You are knowledgeable in using standard data analytic tools (e.g. QlikView, Tableau, Excel, FIS) and are able to understand, prepare and explain data in an easily understandable form
  • Ideally, you possess theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Transshipment
  • Due to regular intensive cooperation with colleagues outside of Germany, this position requires a very high level of English language skills
