Your responsibilities:

  • As part of our expert team Global Mobility, you will look after our expatriates coming to Germany and being sent to our Hapag-Lloyd offices across the globe, throughout the whole expatriate lifecycle (starting with the preparation and attending the expat during the assignment until successful repatriation)
  • This includes the calculation and presentation of expatriate packages using the balance sheet approach, tax and social security consultation, writing expatriate contracts and coordinating all relocation-related aspects for the expatriate and family with our external vendors
  • In this role, you will also be part of our Global Mobility governance. In reporting and monitoring our global expatriate population using our state-of-the-art Mobility management tool to identify trends and develop ideas for our Global Mobility Policy.
  • You will initiate, steer, and take part in international projects and initiatives in Global Mobility to enhance and streamline our Global Mobility processes
  • You will strategically advise international executives and HR business partners on mobility cases and support their needs

Your profile:

  • You hold a university degree (bachelor or master) with reference to Human Resource Management or a comparable education
  • You bring several years of working experience in a comparable position in an internationally operating company or a Global Mobility advisory company and profound knowledge in labor, international tax, immigration, and social security laws
  • Likewise, you are a great interpersonal and cross-cultural communicator with the ability to gain and convince your stakeholders across all hierarchical levels
  • You are well-structured and organized, and have strong analytic skills
  • Furthermore, you keep an eye on Global Mobility trends and the developments of international workforce regulations
  • You are fluent in business English (oral and written). Further language skills are an advantage
  • Project management skills are also an advantage
  • You are confident in the appropriate Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams etc.) and potentially as well in the expatriate management tool MMP
