About us:

GBS Process Management links cross-functional process know how and system expertise. The team designs as well as implements worldwide-standardized processes, identifies process improvements and supports system development as well as automation initiatives keeping the cross-functional view in mind. In line with being the blueprint proxy owner, new bundling opportunities within Hapag-Lloyd’s Quality Service Centers as well as Global Service Centers are being assessed, reviewed with relevant Stakeholders and implemented.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Process analytics & performance optimization

  • Data driven analysis of business processes (e.g. through process mining), develop new and innovative ideas for process improvements
  • Optimize process execution quality and/or turn times driving a positive customer experience
  • Discuss and align process improvements with relevant stakeholders
  • Consult and participate in automation initiatives, analyzing and identifying processes with automation potential and foster Robotic Process Automation (RPA) initiatives
  • Foster automation and share best practice of Business Critical Processes across the organization
  • Develop, enhance and utilize data driven methods of process analytics
  • Identify, develop and analyze global process performance KPIs with Senior Management

Process Landscape & Alignment

  • Identify, design and roll out new standard processes to the organization in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and implement rules, regulations & guidelines with relevant stakeholders to further increase the process performance
  • Align organization to the blueprint and related standard processes, actively drive standardization
  • Analyze process bundling opportunities across the different bundling entities under consideration of process quality and processing cost aspects
  • Support in the startup of new bundled centers and Area offices related to process questions
  • Design and roll out system security concepts across the different processes in close cooperation with all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop digital Process Audit methodology, e.g. process mapping based on ‘digital foot prints’


Your profile:

  • Relevant work experience in Business Process Management
  • Familiarity with process design and major ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, Oracle)
  • Experience in process optimization methods, knowledge on process mining concepts/tools beneficial
  • Good understanding of key customer processes, such as Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay etc.
  • Strong communication skills, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Team player by contributing, learning and sharing new knowledge and ideas
  • Excellent analytical skills, well-organized and known for being a quick learner
  • High level of commitment and an independent, target-oriented way of working
  • Willingness to travel and enjoy being part of an international organization
  • Very familiar and experienced with MS-Office products
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
