We are a powerful IT organization with eyes on the future trends of the shipping industry, for which cloud is the basis and a major enabler for new IT standards. We are faced with a lot of different challenges on our path to being cloud-based and are looking for new colleagues who will join us in boosting the successful introduction of advanced digital solutions at Hapag-Lloyd.

In this role, your main responsibilities are:

  • The Hapag-Lloyd Cloud governance within IT and business in alignment with related projects
  • Close cooperation with the project managers in cloud projects, in order to ensure the sustainable implementation of identified efficiency measures together
  • Continuous cloud process improvement based on your experience from the projects and new theoretical approaches, which you monitor closely
  • Responsibility for the implementation of optimization measures
  • Incident/ disaster handling for applications operated in the cloud and review of documentation and workflow processes
  • Support as a coach during the introduction of cloud trainings for Hapag Lloyd's product organization
  • Reporting, planning and coordinating activities with other Cloud Management Office members
  • Strategic project management within your area of responsibility incl. procedures for selecting and prioritizing projects and general regulations
  • Structural monitoring of partners used in the cloud environment
  • Monitoring and capacity planning
  • …and making sure that the cloud environment complies with Hapag-Lloyd’s quality standards

You should ideally:

  • Hold a university degree in IT or a comparable qualification
  • Have relevant experience within project management or in leading cloud projects
  • Come with excellent analytical skills and high flexibility
  • Show good, personal and proactive initiative as well as the ability to work in a team
  • Possess very good knowledge of spoken and written English
  • Have the willingness to work at our office in Hamburg 3 days/week and 2 days remote according to our policy
  • And be willing to travel

German language expectations: We expect all international candidates to be willing to learn at least the basics of the German language in case they are accepted for the position. This will enable you to participate in social and community life in Germany and at our company premises in the best possible way.
